British F4 heads to Brands Hatch for season finale
Round 10 - Brands Hatch - Preview
Hitech heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for the final round of the 2026 F4 British Championship, with three races remaining to bring the curtain down on a closely fought season.
The championship concludes on the famous Grand Prix circuit on 10–11 October, where the demanding layout and the unpredictable nature of British F4 racing promise a fitting finale to a season that has seen fierce competition throughout the field.
For Hitech, the final weekend offers another opportunity for its young drivers to demonstrate how far they have come over the course of the campaign. Theo Palmer arrives third in the Drivers’ Championship on 239.5 points, with Scott Kin Lindblom seventh on 144, Adam Al Azhari ninth on 111 and Chiara Bättig 13th on 92.
Theo remains firmly in contention for the runner-up position in the championship, sitting just 8.5 points behind Wherrell. His season has included a maiden British F4 victory at Thruxton, alongside a series of podium finishes and consistent performances that have kept him among the leading drivers throughout the year.
Scott returns to the Hitech line-up for the finale, having claimed his first British F4 victory at Donington Park and followed it with a podium at Croft. Adam also joined the winners at Thruxton, while Chiara has enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign, including her maiden podium at Silverstone and a standout Croft weekend where she qualified second and twice finished fourth.
Together, their performances have helped Hitech establish a substantial lead in the Teams’ Championship. The team heads to Brands Hatch on 510.5 points, 83.5 clear of the next team, reflecting the contribution made by all four drivers across the season.
Brands Hatch provides a formidable final test. The 2.43-mile Grand Prix circuit combines the steep descent through Paddock Hill Bend with the technical demands of Druids and Graham Hill Bend before heading onto the fast, undulating woodland section.
Corners such as Hawthorn, Westfield and Sheene demand confidence and precision, with limited run-off leaving little room for error. Overtaking can be difficult around the narrow circuit, making qualifying position and a clean opening lap particularly important.
With three races remaining, Hitech will be looking to finish the season as it has approached the previous nine rounds: giving its drivers the car, preparation and support to compete at their best, while seeking to secure the Teams’ Championship.
Dominic Stott, Hitech British F4 Team Manager:
“We’ve had a very rewarding season with this group of drivers, and it’s been particularly satisfying to see how much they have all developed over the course of the year. Theo has been consistently competitive and has a real chance at second in the Drivers’ Championship. Scott and Adam have both taken their first wins, and Chiara has made enormous strides in her rookie season. They’ve all contributed in different ways, and that’s something the whole team can be proud of.”
Dominic continued:
“Brands Hatch GP is a fantastic circuit to finish the season on. It’s demanding, there’s very little margin for error and the drivers really have to work for every position. We have three races left and important championship positions still to fight for. We’re in a strong position in the Teams’ Championship, but our priority is to give all four drivers the best possible chance to finish their seasons well.”
