Keanu Al Azhari steps up to FIA F3 with Hitech for 2027

Driver Announcement - FIA Formula 3

Hitech is pleased to announce Keanu Al Azhari for its 2027 FIA Formula 3 line-up, as the 18-year-old continues his progression with the team into the next stage of his single-seater career.

The Dubai-born racer will become the first Emirati driver to compete in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, marking a significant milestone as he steps onto the Formula 1 support bill for the first time.

Al Azhari has raced with Hitech since joining its GB3 programme in 2025, claiming a race victory, six podiums and three pole positions in his first season before progressing to Eurocup-3 with the team for 2026.

His move into Eurocup-3 began with the Spanish Winter Championship, where two victories and seven podiums from nine races secured the title. He has continued to win races and score podiums in the main championship and heads into the final round fighting for second place in the standings.

It continues a strong record at the sharp end of the junior single-seater categories. Before joining Hitech, Al Azhari took the 2024 Spanish F4 title battle to the final round, recording four victories and five pole positions on his way to runner-up in the standings. He also finished third in that year’s Formula F4 UAE Championship, with two wins and three pole positions.

Keanu Al Azhari:

“I am proud and honoured to continue my journey with my family at Hitech as we step up together into the 2027 FIA Formula 3 Championship.”
“To become the first driver from the UAE to compete in FIA Formula 3 is a milestone I carry with immense pride. Representing my nation at this level is the greatest honour, and I'm humbled by the support of the UAE behind me. I hope this journey inspires the next generation of drivers across our region to dream without limits.”

Paul Bellringer, Hitech’s FIA F3 Team Manager:

“It’s great to see Keanu making the step into FIA Formula 3 with us. We’ve worked closely with him over the last two seasons and have seen first-hand how much he has developed in that time.”
“He has shown his speed with race wins and podiums, but one of his real strengths is his ability to race his way through the field. Even when a weekend hasn’t gone to plan or conditions are difficult, he finds a way to move forward and put himself in contention. That ability to make something out of challenging situations will serve him well in F3.”

Paul continued:

“There’s something particularly rewarding about seeing a driver progress through the different levels of Hitech and reach F3 with us. Keanu knows how we work, we know what he is capable of, and we’re looking forward to continuing that progression together in 2027.”
