Hopes high for home GB3 challenge at Silverstone

The GB3 Championship returns to Silverstone this weekend for Round 5 of the 2026 season, with Hitech’s drivers looking to strengthen their position in the Drivers’ Championship.
With encouraging pace demonstrated throughout the opening half of the campaign, the team heads to Silverstone aiming to convert performance into consistent points.
Deagen Fairclough leads Hitech’s challenge in 10th place in the Drivers’ Championship after showing front-running speed at the previous round at the Red Bull Ring. The British driver was unfortunate not to come away with a stronger points haul in Austria and will be looking to harness the momentum of his home event this weekend.
Jacob Micallef continues to impress in his rookie GB3 campaign after adapting quickly to the championship. The Maltese driver has shown encouraging speed since joining the series from Round 3 and will be aiming to continue that upward trajectory at one of Britain’s most iconic circuits.
Felix Fu also arrives at Silverstone looking to build on the progress made throughout the opening rounds of the season. The Chinese driver delivered another encouraging recovery drive in Austria and continues to gain valuable experience as his rookie campaign develops.
Silverstone presents one of the biggest challenges on the GB3 calendar. Its high-speed corners and flowing layout reward confidence and precision while the circuit presents drivers with several overtaking opportunities. As ever, qualifying is expected to be fiercely competitive, with fine margins likely to play a decisive role throughout the weekend.
After four rounds, Hitech sits fourth in the standings among the championship’s nine teams, firmly within touching distance of the leading trio.

The Silverstone weekend follows the standard GB3 format, with testing on Thursday and Friday before a two-part qualifying session on Saturday morning followed by Race 1. Races 2 and 3 will take place on Sunday.
