British F4 heads north for Croft challenge
Round 8 – Croft – Preview
Hitech heads to North Yorkshire this weekend for Round 8 of the F4 British Championship, as Croft Circuit hosts the next three races of the 2026 season.
The team arrives at Croft after another victory at Donington Park, where Scott Kin Lindblom became Hitech’s third different winner in the space of two rounds. His maiden British F4 victory followed wins for Theo Palmer and Adam Al Azhari at Thruxton, adding to a season in which all four Hitech drivers have regularly contributed to the team’s points tally.
Theo also collected two top-six finishes at Donington, including fourth in the final race, while Scott climbed from 11th to sixth. Chiara Bättig and Adam both made significant progress from further down the grid, with all four Hitech cars finishing Race 3 inside the top 12.
These results leave Theo third in the Drivers’ Championship, with Scott sixth, Adam eighth and Chiara 15th, while Hitech continues to hold the lead in the Teams’ Championship.
At 2.1 miles, Croft is one of the quickest circuits on the British F4 calendar. The lap runs from the heavy braking zone at Clervaux through Hawthorn and Tower before opening out into the high-speed Jim Clark Esses and Barcroft, where drivers carry significant speed and small mistakes can be costly.
The final part of the lap is much tighter. Sunny In and Sunny Out lead into the Complex and the Hairpin, putting braking, traction and positioning under pressure before the run back onto the start-finish straight. That contrast makes finding the right set-up particularly important across the weekend.
Three different Hitech drivers have now stood on the top step in the past six races, underlining the strength across the team as the season heads to Croft. Chiara has also continued to make progress during her rookie campaign, gaining five places in the final race at Donington to finish 10th.
With nine races remaining across Croft and the final two rounds, there is still plenty to play for in both championships.
