Martinius Stenshorne claims second F3 victory in Spielberg
Round 6 - Spielberg - Report

Hitech TGR’s Martinius Stenshorne delivered a spectacular performance today in Spielberg, gaining 13 places to finish second on track before being promoted to Race Winner following Tsolov’s disqualification.

It was his second victory of the season, his first Formula 3 Feature Race Podium, and his third top three finish of 2025.

The Norwegian started from P15 after a difficult Qualifying on Friday, but he surged through the field and with an overtake on Voisin, was up to fifth by the end of Lap 11.
From there, he set about capitalising on the battle for the podium places, first making a move on Ugochukwu into Turn 3 to claim fourth, before using the DRS to drive by Stromsted for P3. With Camara in P2 in view, Martinius closed to within DRS range and took second place on Lap 19 at Turn 1.
The top spot proved just out of reach on track, but following the application of penalties, the McLaren-backed driver inherited the victory and 25 championship points, which moves him into fourth place in the Drivers’ Standings.

It was quite a day – and weekend – for making progress through the field. In yesterday’s Sprint Race, Martinius had gained seven places to finish P8, earning five points. Rookie Jesse Carrasquedo improved by nine places to finish 15th, while Gerrard Xie gained seven places to cross the line in 22nd position.

In today’s Feature Race, the Mexican started from P23 on the Grid and finished in 13th place, while Gerrard made up 12 places to achieve a season-best placing of 17th.

In total, the combined number of places gained across the whole squad is an impressive 59 – 23 in the Sprint and 36 in the Feature Race.

It’s a quick turnaround now before the team’s home race next weekend at Silverstone (4-6 July), where the Hitech trio will be looking to maintain the momentum with just four rounds of the season remaining.
