Three days of testing ticked off
Pre-Season Testing - Barcelona

It’s the final countdown to the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season and Hitech TGR’s formidable duo Luke Browning and Dino Beganovic enjoyed a positive prelude to the new campaign at the pre-season test in Spain.
Over three days of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (24-26 February), the pair got to work on a programme of acclimatisation, car setup and data collection and evaluation.
In advance of the test, their work had begun in the sim and gym at Hitech HQ in Silverstone, working extensively with the F2 engineers and human performance specialists to plot the road to Melbourne, and beyond. A long, 14-round season beckons, and both the drivers and the team have titles firmly in their sights.

Luke, a Williams Driver Academy member, has raced with Hitech since 2022, joining as part of the team’s GB3 Championship line-up and advancing to Formula 3 where, in his second season on the third rung of the road to F1, he remained in the title fight until the season finale.

Dino, part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, is new to the team, but the F3 pit lane from which they have both graduated is a small (if highly competitive) community and he knows Luke and Hitech well.

The drivers got a taste of Hitech F2 machinery at the end-of-season test in Abu Dhabi, and since then the past few months of team familiarisation have been plain sailing. At the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, they demonstrated the kind of cameraderie that will help the team to shine while still targeting their own performance objectives.
Clive Hatton, Hitech's F2 Team Manager:
“The main goal is to make sure the drivers are happy with the car, the procedures, and the style of driving required for the team setup and also the F2 car.”
Albert Park in Melbourne holds good memories for Hitech, as it’s a track the team performed well at in F2 and F3. No stone has been left unturned to ensure Dino, Luke and the team make the best possible start to the season.
The action gets underway on Friday 14 March with Free Practice at 10.00 local time.
