Hitech ready for Brands Hatch challenge after dominant Donington
Round 7 - Brands Hatch - Preview
Hitech heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for Round 7 of the GB3 Championship looking to build on a dominant weekend at Donington Park, where Deagen Fairclough claimed back-to-back victories.
Deagen has now won four of the last five races and sits fourth in the Drivers’ Championship on 268 points, while Hitech has taken six victories this season.
He will be joined at Brands Hatch by Felix Fu and returning Hitech driver Kanato Le, with the team looking to continue its strong run of results.
Fairclough arrives in form
Deagen produced a standout weekend at Donington, topping all six testing sessions before taking the front row for both opening races.
He converted that pace into back-to-back victories, including pole in Q2 with the fastest-ever GB3 lap around the circuit.
He then recovered from 12th to sixth in Race 3, completing a weekend in which he gained 18 places across the three races.
With three races ahead at Brands Hatch, Deagen will be looking to continue closing the gap to the drivers ahead in the championship.
Brands Hatch preparation
Hitech already has valuable data from the recent official test at Brands Hatch, where Deagen finished sixth overall and just 0.345 seconds from the fastest time.
The 3.916-kilometre Grand Prix circuit presents a different challenge to Donington, with the elevation changes and high-speed corners placing a premium on confidence and car balance.
Paddock Hill Bend, Druids and the Grand Prix section will provide key challenges across the three-race weekend.
Fu continues to build
Felix Fu will continue his first full GB3 campaign with Hitech, having gained further experience at Donington Park.
The Chinese driver finished inside the top 10 in Race 2 at Donington and will be looking to build on that progress at Brands Hatch.
Kanato Le returns to Hitech
Joining him will be Kanato Le, who returns to Hitech having previously raced for the team in the 2023 F4 British Championship and earlier this year in the Formula Regional Oceania Trophy, taking one win and six podium finishes on his way to sixth in the championship.
Following the conclusion of Kanato’s 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship, the 19-year-old Japanese driver’s continuation in regional F3 will enable him to continue his current momentum.

Hitech targets another strong weekend
Hitech currently sits fourth in the Teams’ Championship on 553 points, with Brands Hatch and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya remaining.
Following the team’s double victory at Donington, the focus now turns to maintaining that momentum and challenging for further podiums and wins.
