Hitech heads to Jerez as Eurocup-3 championship battle intensifies

Fresh from a home victory at Silverstone, Hitech heads to Spain this weekend for Round 6 of the 2026 Eurocup-3 Championship, with the season entering its decisive stage.
Keanu Al Azhari arrives in Jerez third in the Drivers’ Championship after a standout home round, where he secured double pole position and converted the first into a commanding Race 1 victory.
His Silverstone results increased his tally to 121 points, just seven behind second-placed Ean Eyckmans and two ahead of René Lammers, who sits fourth on 119. With three rounds remaining, the battle behind the championship leader is getting close.
Gino Trappa, Santino Panetta and Stefan Bostandjiev will also continue their campaigns as the team looks to build on its strongest weekend of the season so far.
The championship returns to Spain for the first time since the opening rounds of the season, with the Circuito de Jerez providing a very different challenge to Silverstone.
The 4.4-kilometre circuit combines technical sections with heavy braking zones, with Turns 1 and 6 providing two of the clearest opportunities for overtaking.
The Eurocup-3 cars will also be able to make use of the slipstream around the circuit, making qualifying position and race pace important factors across the weekend.
Keanu heads to Jerez with renewed momentum following his strongest regular-season weekend so far.
After taking both pole positions at Silverstone, he converted Race 1 into his second victory of the season before battling through difficult wet conditions in Race 2 to finish seventh despite a mechanical problem with his car.
The results moved him into third in the championship and within striking distance of second.
Hitech also arrives in Spain third in the Teams’ Championship on 155 points.
The team will be looking for all four cars to contribute as the championship moves into its final phase, with the Hungaroring and Barcelona still to come after Jerez.
