Hitech announces Joshua Dürksen for 2027 FIA F2 campaign
F2 Driver Signing
Hitech is delighted to announce Joshua Dürksen as the first confirmed driver in its line-up for the 2027 FIA Formula 2 Championship.
The 22-year-old Paraguayan joins Hitech with considerable Formula 2 experience and an established record in the championship, including eight victories and 16 podium finishes.
Joshua made his Formula 2 debut in 2024 following a junior career spanning Formula 4 and Formula Regional competition. He claimed his first podium at Imola before becoming the first Paraguayan driver to win a Formula 2 race with victory in Baku. He followed that with his first Feature Race win at the season finale in Abu Dhabi, completing his rookie campaign with two victories and four podiums.
His second season brought another two wins and eight podium finishes, including victory in the opening Sprint Race in Melbourne and a Feature Race win at Yas Marina to close out the year.
In his third Formula 2 campaign in 2026, Joshua added four further victories to his record. Earlier this year, he also joined the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team as a Development Driver, before completing his first Formula 1 test in September and becoming the first Paraguayan affiliated to an F1 team to test a modern-day F1 car.
Joshua now joins Hitech as Formula 2 prepares for the introduction of its evolution car in 2027. With extensive experience in the category, he brings a strong understanding of Formula 2 into a season that will present a fresh technical challenge for teams and drivers across the grid.
Joshua Dürksen:
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Hitech for the 2027 Formula 2 season. Hitech has shown for many years that it is one of the strongest teams in Formula 2 and I’m very proud to have the opportunity to race with them. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, starting the work together and seeing what we can achieve.”
“The new car for 2027 gives us another exciting challenge and I’m really motivated to get started. I want to keep developing, keep fighting for wins and the best results possible on all tracks. I’m confident that together we can achieve some great things next season.”
