Hitech aims to build on strong start as British F4 heads to Brands
Round 2 - Brands Hatch - Preview
Hitech heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for the second round of the 2026 Wera Tools F4 British Championship season looking to build on a competitive and encouraging opening event at Donington Park.
With podium finishes and consistent points already on the board, the team arrives at the Kent circuit firmly in the early championship fight – but with a clear focus on turning that underlying pace into stronger, consistent results across all three races.
The Indy circuit presents a very different challenge to Donington. At just 1.207 miles, it is the shortest layout on the calendar, with little margin for error and limited overtaking opportunities. As a result, qualifying performance and race starts are expected to play a decisive role in shaping the weekend.
Theo Palmer emerges from the opening round as one of the early protagonists in the championship battle. A front-row start and podium finish underlined his one-lap speed and racecraft, and the next step will be converting that performance into a complete weekend across all three races.
Scott Kin Lindblom also made a strong impression on his debut. The Red Bull Junior combined composure with race pace to secure a podium finish at Donington, immediately placing himself among the drivers to watch. With one race weekend now under his belt, Brands Hatch offers an opportunity to strengthen his position at the sharp end.
For Adam Al Azhari, the focus is on execution. A proven race winner in the championship, the Emirati showed clear signs of front-running pace in the season opener but was unable to fully convert that into results. With experience and racecraft on his side, he will be aiming to reassert himself as a consistent contender for top-five finishes.
Chiara Bättig also continues her first full season in single-seaters, continuing to build experience in a highly competitive field.
Across the board, the emphasis for Hitech is on execution – maximising qualifying, maintaining track position, and capitalising on opportunities as they arise. Consistency across the triple-header will be key to strengthening both Drivers’ and Teams’ championship positions.
Dominic Stott, Hitech British F4 Team Manager:
“Donington gave us a solid foundation to start the season. We showed that we have the pace to run at the front, but also that there are areas where we can improve in terms of execution across the weekend.”
Dominic continued:
“Brands Hatch is a very different type of circuit – It’s short, technical, and puts a real emphasis on qualifying and getting the start right. Track position is crucial there.
“With momentum beginning to build in the 2026 season, Hitech heads into Round 2 firmly in contention – and focused on delivering a more complete weekend at Brands Hatch.”
