All eyes on Monza for the F3 season finale

Round 10 - Monza - Preview

Nine FIA Formula 3 Championship rounds down, one thrilling finale to come. This weekend, the stage is set for a spectacular showdown at the iconic Autodromo Internazionale Monza.

Since the season began in Melbourne, Australia, in March, the series has visited nine different venues across nine countries. But now, it all comes down to this – the finale at ‘La Pista Magica’, a track unlike any other.

Martinius Stenshorne has enjoyed a stellar second season in the series, showcasing the value of continuity and his adaptability to the new F3 machinery. That combination has translated into the confidence to race aggressively at every round, enjoying two victories, two further podiums, and a string of points finishes. He heads into the final weekend sitting fifth in the Drivers’ Standings.

Gerrard Xie’s Rookie season has been steadily gaining momentum, and he heads to Monza eager to round out the year by adding to his points tally.

It’s a similar goal for Nikita Johnson, who joined the Hitech F3 lineup at Silverstone and will be making his third appearance in the series this weekend.

Monza has a reputation for producing dramatic F3 finales. And while both titles have already been decided, there is still plenty to play for at the 5.8 km circuit. With its high-speed straights and heavy braking zones, the ‘Temple of Speed’ often delivers unpredictable racing. It’s a favourite among drivers for its sheer speed, and overtaking opportunities are plentiful – especially leading into legendary corners like the Rettifilo chicane, Ascari, and the famous Parabolica.

Paul Bellringer, Hitech's F3 Team Manager:

“It has been a challenging but rewarding season, and we head to Monza hopeful of ending it on a positive note.”

He continued:

“Martinius has had an excellent second year in the series, and we’re aiming for another standout performance from him – hopefully adding to his tally of victories and podiums. For Gerrard and Nikita, the focus is on continuing their development with the new car and picking up a point or two along the way.

“Credit to the team, who have done a fantastic job adapting to the new car and supporting the drivers in extracting as much performance as possible at every round. Hopefully we can make this our best weekend yet.”
