Hitech targets more silverware after Silverstone hat-trick

Hitech heads to Donington Park this weekend for Round 6 of the 2026 GB3 Championship looking to add to a remarkable run last time out at Silverstone, where the team claimed all three race victories.
Deagen Fairclough delivered two standout performances at Hitech’s home event, taking his maiden GB3 pole positions before converting both into race wins. Jacob Micallef then completed the hat-trick with a thrilling maiden victory in Race 3, capping a memorable weekend for the team.
Deagen moved up to sixth in the Drivers’ Championship after his double victory and arrives at Donington having firmly established himself as a top-3 contender with three rounds remaining. His Silverstone performance took his GB3 career tally to four wins and 10 podium finishes, and he will be looking to close in further on the championship leaders this weekend.
Jacob heads into his fourth GB3 event with his first victory already secured. The Maltese driver produced one of the standout moments of the Silverstone weekend, making a bold move around the outside of Gonzalez at the penultimate corner to take the lead in the final race.
The result was not only his maiden GB3 victory but also made Micallef the first Maltese driver to win in single-seaters. Having adapted quickly since joining the championship in Round 3, he will be looking to show that his Silverstone breakthrough can be the start of further success at regional F3 level.
Felix Fu also returns to action after another weekend of valuable experience at Silverstone. The Chinese driver showed encouraging race pace, including gaining places in Race 1, and will be aiming to make another step forward at Donington.
The Donington Park Grand Prix circuit provides a very different challenge to Silverstone, combining high-speed corners and significant elevation changes with tighter, technical sections. The Craner Curves and Old Hairpin demand commitment and precision, while the Melbourne Hairpin provides one of the key overtaking opportunities.
After five rounds, Hitech is closing in on third place in the Teams’ Championship. Following the team’s strongest weekend of the season so far, the target at Donington is to add more silverware to the three trophies collected at Silverstone.
