Hitech sets sights on BRDC International Trophy glory
Round 4 - Silverstone GP - Preview
Hitech heads to the Home of British Motor Racing this weekend for Round 4 of the 2026 F4 British Championship, targeting another strong performance at one of the most iconic venues in world motorsport and the team’s home circuit, located just a stone’s throw from Hitech’s operational base.
The team arrives at Silverstone on the back of another competitive outing at Snetterton, where the squad secured two podium finishes in hot and demanding conditions across the Norfolk triple-header. Scott Kin Lindblom claimed second place in Race 1 to extend his points tally, while Adam Al Azhari matched that result with a strong run to second in Race 3. All four Hitech drivers circulated consistently at the sharp end throughout the weekend.
The Snetterton result sees Hitech move into an early lead in the Teams’ Cup, with all four drivers sitting inside the top half of the Drivers’ standings as the campaign continues to build momentum heading into what promises to be the most significant weekend on the season so far.
The occasion adds a further layer to what promises to be a memorable weekend. Silverstone plays host to the revival of the prestigious BRDC International Trophy, with the winner of Sunday’s feature race set to become the first recipient of the famous accolade in more than two decades. First contested in 1949, the Trophy has historically been claimed by some of the sport’s greatest names – from Alberto Ascari to Jim Clark, Niki Lauda and Sir Jackie Stewart – and this weekend one driver will add their name to that list. The championship’s 32-car entry underlines the scale of the challenge and opportunity.
The 3.66 mile Grand Prix layout presents a very different challenge to the circuits visited so far this season. The combination of high-speed corners, long flat-out sections, and the iconic Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel complex places a premium on aerodynamic balance, single-lap pace, and tyre management across extended race stints – all areas in which the Hitech drivers have shown strength in the opening rounds.
Scott Kin Lindblom
Scott heads arrives at Silverstone as Hitech’s highest-placed driver in the series, sitting third in the Standings have underlined both his consistency and pace. With confidence and momentum building, Silverstone presents another opportunity to strengthen his championship challenge.
Theo Palmer
Theo has combined regular points finishes with some of the most impressive overtaking moves seen in the series this season. Silverstone, with its multiple overtaking opportunities, could be an ideal stage for the racecraft he has consistently put on display.
Adam Al Azhari
Adam rounded off the Snetterton weekend in style with a result that underlined his ability to combine strong qualifying pace with composure and racecraft in pressured conditions. Having taken pole position at Brands Hatch and a front row start at Snetterton, he has the ability to put himself in a strong position again this weekend.
Chiara Bättig
Chiara has continued to develop strongly through the opening rounds of her first full single-seater season, collecting the series’ Overtake Award after Brands Hatch and building on that form with a strong recovery drive in Race 3 that brought her through to 14th at the flag. Her upward trend is clear and Silverstone could be the ideal setting for her to continue that progression.
Dominic Stott, Hitech British F4 Team Manager:
“Silverstone is a special occasion this weekend, with the International Trophy adding real prestige to what is already a hugely important round. The Grand Prix circuit is a considerable challenge compared to the circuits we’ve been to so far this season, but I’m sure our drivers will rise to the challenge. It’s a strong field, but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
