Hitech aim to extend early-season form at Snetterton

Round 2 - Snetterton - Preview

Hitech heads to Norfolk this weekend for Round 3 of the 2026 F4 British Championship looking to build on a strong and competitive start to the season as the campaign continues to gather momentum.

The team arrives at Snetterton having again demonstrated its competitiveness at the last round at Brands Hatch, highlighted by a double pole position for Adam Al Azhari, consistent points-scoring performances from Theo Palmer and Scott Lindblom, and a breakthrough weekend for Chiara Bättig, who completed 47 overtakes across the Brands Hatch triple-header – the highest tally in the championship so far.

As a result, Hitech now heads into Round 3 sitting second in the Teams’ Championship, with all four drivers placed inside the top twelve of the Drivers’ standings.

The 2.99-mile Snetterton 300 circuit presents a very different challenge to the Brands Hatch Indy format, with its combination of long straights, heavy braking zones, and multiple overtaking opportunities expected to shape the action. The layout places an emphasis on race pace, tyre management, and close racing throughout the field.

Scott currently leads the Hitech challenge in the Drivers’ Championship standings in fourth place. He has made a strong and encouraging start to his first British F4 season, securing his maiden podium at Donington Park and showing consistency and improvement across the opening rounds.

Theo sits just three points behind in sixth position after opening the season with a podium finish and securing a string of Lotus Fastest Lap Awards across the first two rounds. He has established himself as a regular points contender in the early stages of the championship, while also producing some of the most impressive overtaking moves seen so far this season.

Adam, ninth in the order, has been one of the standout qualifiers in the field so far, securing pole position for Races 1 and 3 at Brands Hatch. His performances across the opening rounds have continued to underline his ability to compete consistently at the front of the field.

Chiara has been one of the big improvers in the field during the early stages of the campaign, highlighted by receiving the Championship’s Overtake Award following Round 2. In her first full season in single-seaters, she has demonstrated impressive racecraft and a clear ability to move forward through the field in competitive race conditions.

Dominic Stott, Hitech British F4 Team Manager:

“We’ve had a strong start to the season across all four drivers, with good qualifying pace and solid race performances. Each of them is moving in a positive direction and has contributed to our position in the standings.”

Dominic continued:

“It’s a very competitive field though, and at this early stage there is still plenty for us to build on. The focus is on continuing to develop consistency, racecraft, and overall execution across the weekends.

“Snetterton presents another new challenge and, as the first event in a double-header with Silverstone, it provides a great opportunity for us to continue building momentum and keep progressing.”
