Martinius Stenshorne continues with Hitech for 2025 F3 campaign

Martinius Stenshorne will continue with Hitech GP for the team’s 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship campaign.
The Norwegian, who was picked up by the McLaren Driver Development Programme early in the 2024 season, will be one of three drivers fielded by the team for the new season. Gerrard Xie, announced earlier today, will be among Martinius’ new teammates.
The 18-year-old joined Hitech ahead of the 2024 season from Formula Regional, where he made history as the first rookie to win his debut race and went on to become vice-champion in his first-ever campaign in the category.

Stepping up to the international stage in FIA Formula 3, Martinius immediately impressed with a Sprint Race win in only the second round in Melbourne. Fourth place in the Barcelona Sprint Race underlined his clear ability to fight for podiums, and he went on to prove his point with second place in the Spielberg Sprint.
He rounded out a strong inaugural season with P10 in the Monza Sprint and fifth place in the Feature Race there.
Martinius Stenshorne:
“I’m really happy and excited to be entering my second season of FIA Formula 3 and with Hitech.”
The McLaren Driver Academy member continued:
2024 was a strong first year in the Championship and we achieved some good results that also contributed to the team being able to fight for both titles – something I hope we will see again next season.
Hitech’s Formula 3 Team Manager, Paul Bellringer, commented:
“I’m delighted to confirm that Martinius will continue with us for the 2025 campaign. In only his first year on the international stage – one of the most competitive seasons F3 has ever seen – he punctuated his obvious potential with a win in the second round, a podium, and he was regularly in the fight for points.
He continued: “When the field is as tight as it was last season, it can be difficult for strong performances to translate to the standings, but within the team, Martinius’ progress was clear for all to see and I feel confident that he will really make his mark in a second season of F3.”
