Lusail hosts final chapter of UAE4 campaign
Round 4 - Lusail - Preview
Hitech’s 2026 UAE4 Series campaign reaches its final round this weekend at Lusail International Circuit in Qatar. With three races remaining, the season concludes under the lights at the fast and flowing 5.4km Grand Prix venue, bringing the curtain down on an intense four-round campaign across the Middle East.
After delivering strong performances and valuable points across the opening rounds at Yas Marina and Dubai, Hitech arrives in Lusail focused on converting pace into results and ending the season on a high. Scott Kin Lindblom has produced eye-catching drives including an extraordinary recovery from P36 to P10 at Dubai Autodrome, underlining his overtaking prowess and racecraft. Theo Palmer has consistently converted strong performances into solid points, showcasing confident race management and tenacity.
In the QMMF by Hitech entries, Bader Al Sulaiti has demonstrated pace and grit as he continues his development, while Nasser Al Thani is back in action after an unfortunate absence in the last round due to car damage.
Lusail’s combination of long straights, high-speed direction changes and technical corners presents a final opportunity for the drivers to showcase their development and racecraft. The circuit’s smooth surface and sweeping layout reward commitment and precision, particularly through its medium- and high-speed sequences. With overtaking opportunities into Turn 1 and at the end of the back straight, qualifying performance will be crucial, while tyre management across each race will play an important role in securing strong results.
The weekend retains the established UAE4 format, with two qualifying sessions setting the grids for Races 1 and 3, while Race 2 will feature a partially reversed grid. Consistency across all three races will be key, as the team aims to maximise points and build on the encouraging momentum shown in recent rounds.
Having demonstrated clear progress throughout the season, Lusail offers one final opportunity to translate that growth into standout results before attention turns to the European campaign. A strong finale would provide the perfect springboard into the next phase of the year.
The lights go out on the 2026 UAE4 Series this weekend – and Hitech will be pushing to ensure the season concludes with another competitive showing in Qatar.
Dominic Stott, Hitech’s F4 Programmes Team Manager:
“We’ve seen encouraging progress from all four drivers this season. Scott’s recovery drives and Theo’s growing consistency have both been highlights, and our QMMF by Hitech drivers have taken important steps forward as they gain experience in this competitive field.”
“Lusail will be another demanding test, but it gives the whole group a final chance to build on what they’ve learned and finish the campaign on a strong note. Our focus will be on maximising performance in every session and giving the drivers the best platform possible.”
