Formula Trophy Preview – 25 Nov 2025

Hitech set for Formula Trophy in the Middle East

Formula Trophy is for F4 cars with a Tatuus T421 chassis and Abarth engine, and uses Pirelli tyres and Brembo Brakes. The series is held on some of the best tracks in the Middle East – the Dubai Autodrome and Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit, where the series is a support race of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Gulf 12H. Formula Trophy boasts a strong class of the best junior teams, and for Hitech, it provides the perfect preparation for first year British F4 drivers, aiding their transition from karting to their first full season of single-seater racing.

Scott stepped into cars for the first time in 2025, quickly adapting to Ginetta Junior machinery and demonstrating strong pace throughout the season. In preparation for his single-seater debut, he 15-year-old began by testing his wings in the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship this autumn, with five podiums and a victory in the eight races so far. His progression into British F4 is the next major milestone in his career as he continues his climb up the junior formula ladder, and Formula Trophy UAE is the perfect preparation for that.

Before moving into cars, Scott built an outstanding record in karting. Born in Falun, Sweden, he began at age five and rapidly progressed through Swedish national categories and into international competition. In 2023 he secured a bronze medal in the FIA Karting World Championship – OK Junior, proving his ability on the global stage.

In 2024 he stepped up into the OK Senior class at just 13 years old and took the title in the prestigious WSK Euro Series, dominating the season with victories in all his heats, Prefinals and Finals. That same year he was selected by Red Bull’s driver programme following the Red Bull Driver Search test and quickly became one of their standout junior talents – a sign of his ambition and talent.

Theo began his motorsport journey at the age of nine at the Dubai Autodrome Karting Academy, rapidly advancing through the junior IAME and Rotax categories. His talent was evident early on as he claimed multiple race wins in regional UAE championships.

The 15-year-old then expanded into Europe, competing in the X30 Senior and Rotax Max Challenge event, with notable successes including a top-eight finish at the 2024 Kartmasters Grand Prix (Junior X30) and consistent performance in European Open competitions. These results demonstrated his ability to compete at a high level against some of the continent’s best young drivers.

In 2025, Palmer stepped up to British F4 mid-season, adapting quickly to single-seater machinery and showing maturity on the UK circuits. His first experience in F4 laid a solid foundation, and now, joining Hitech, he is looking to build on the learnings and target strong championship results in 2026.
