In Pictures: Post-Season F2 Testing in Abu Dhabi

Post-Season Testing - Yas Marina - 10-12 December

The curtain closed on the 2025 racing year with three productive days of Formula 2 post-season testing at Yas Marina Circuit – and with it, the first official outing for our 2026 driver pairing, Colton Herta and Ritomo Miyata.

We captured the key moments from an important week of preparation as both drivers took their first steps toward the season ahead.

Settling In

From the opening installation laps to the final runs on Day 3, the focus was all about acclimatising to the car, the tyres, the team, and our operational systems. With both drivers new to Hitech, early sessions centred on communication, understanding cockpit procedures, and building rhythm with the engineers.

Tyre Learning Curve

Short-run pace, warm-up behaviour, and longer-run degradation tests were all on the programme.

Pit Stop Practice

Away from the racing line, the crew ran several rounds of live pit stop practice, giving the drivers a first taste of our operational style and allowing the team to refine processes ahead of 2026. These sessions will help retain valuable muscle memory for the whole team over the holiday period.

Track Action

With evolving grip and cooler evening conditions, both drivers put together strong mileage across the three days, working through baseline setup evaluations and data-gathering runs. The aim: build a reliable reference point for when the car hits the track again at pre-season testing.

Looking Ahead

From pit lane to sunset laps under the Yas Marina lights, it was a week filled with learning, development, and the first steps of a new driver pairing discovering their future machinery.
