Hitech welcomes Freddie Slater to its F3 line-up for Spa
Round 8 - Spa-Francorchamps

Hitech TGR has signed Freddie Slater to its FIA Formula 3 line-up for Round 8 of the championship at Spa-Francorchamps.
The 16-year-old British driver will be stepping into F3 machinery for the second time, having made an impressive series debut with another team at the Bahrain Grand Prix. At Sakhir, he qualified in tenth place then seized an early Sprint Race lead in an epic opening encounter before ultimately claiming a second-place podium finish.
Freddie is currently leading the Drivers’ Standings in Formula Regional European, as well as competing in selected rounds of GB3 Championship. He took his first steps in single-seater racing in 2022, winning the title in the Ginetta Winter Series before repeating this achievement the following year in Ginetta Junior Championship. He undertook multiple F4 campaigns during 2023 and 2024, claiming the title in both Formula 4 UAE and Italian F4 last season, and securing the runner-up spot in Euro 4. Earlier this year he was crowned Formula Regional Middle East Vice-Champion.
Freddie will line up alongside Hitech’s other F3 drivers, Martinius Stenshorne and Gerrard Xie, at the wheel of car number 15.
Paul Bellringer, Hitech's F3 Team Manager:
“We are delighted to welcome Freddie to the team for the next round of the F3 Championship. His single-seater career to date is impressive and his standout performance in Bahrain earlier this year was particularly creditable given that it was his series debut.”
Paul continued:
“Spa-Francorchamps is a very singular challenge for any driver, and while Freddie has raced here before, the opportunity to do so in F3 machinery is one I’m sure he will relish. We look forward to seeing him in action for Hitech.”
As he prepared to make his Hitech debut, Freddie Slater said:
“I’m looking forward to racing at Spa with Hitech. It is one of my favourite circuits on the calendar and driving an F3 car here will be a great feeling.”
Round 8 gets underway on Friday 25th July with Practice and Qualifying.
