Hitech targets British F4 three-peat as new season begins
Round 1 - Donington Park - Preview
Hitech returns to the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by the FIA, this weekend with a clear objective: secure a third consecutive Drivers’ title and reassert its position at the top of the Teams’ standings as the 2026 season gets underway at Donington Park.
The new campaign launches with a capacity 30-car grid and a 30-race calendar across ten events, including two circuits on the F1 calendar, Silverstone GP and Zandvoort in the Netherlands. The focus within Hitech is firmly on continuing a run of success that has established the team as a major force in British Formula 4.
Back-to-back Drivers’ titles in 2024 and 2025 – adding to the team’s success in the series’ inaugural 2022 season – underline the team’s ability to deliver at the very highest level. Last year’s Teams’ Vice-Championship, decided by just 1.5 points, further reinforced the strength and consistency of the operation, following outright Teams’ Championship success the year prior. In fact, Hitech has never finished outside the top two in the Team’s standings, having also secured vice-champion honours in 2022 and 2023.
Adam Al Azhari
Adam is one of two drivers in the Hitech squad returning to the British F4 Championship this year, alongside two rookies.
A proven race winner, the Emirati claimed three victories and multiple podiums during an impressive 2025 campaign, demonstrating speed and racecraft across a range of circuits. Now equipped with experience and continuity, he arrives at the season opener ready to convert that front-running pace into consistent results and a championship bid.
Theo Palmer
Theo continues his development with Hitech after gaining valuable mileage during his debut season in 2025. After a strong winter series campaign in the Middle East, he now enters the new season with a stronger baseline and plenty of determination.
Red Bull Rising Stars
The team’s line-up is further bolstered by Red Bull Junior Team duo Scott Kin Lindblom and Chiara Bättig – two of the most exciting young prospects stepping into the championship this year.
Scott arrives with an exceptional karting pedigree and early single-seater success, marking him as one to watch as he transitions into British F4 competition.
Chiara begins her first full season in cars following a decorated karting career, with early experience over the winter already laying the groundwork for her development.
Dominic Stott, Hitech’s British F4 Team Manager:
“We come into the season with strong momentum from the past two years in particular. Winning back-to-back Drivers’ championships and fighting for the Teams’ title down to the final race last year shows the level we’ve been operating at.”
“The goal now is to build on that. Adam gives us a strong reference point as a race winner with experience, and alongside him we have three drivers with the potential to develop quickly and contribute across the season.”
“In a championship like British F4, consistency across all three races each weekend is crucial. The ambition is to be in the fight from the very beginning.”
Focus turns to Donington Park
The 2026 season begins at Donington Park’s National layout on 18–19 April, with three races set to immediately test both drivers and teams.
