Ready for home F1 Academy weekend at Silverstone

Round 3 - Silverstone - Preview

Hitech returns to home soil this weekend as the 2026 F1 Academy season heads to Silverstone for Round 3 of the championship. Following an intensive period of preparation in the simulator and gym, the team arrives at the British Grand Prix venue looking to build on the progress and learnings gathered across the opening rounds.

American driver Ava Dobson heads into the weekend as Hitech’s highest-placed competitor in the Drivers’ Championship, currently sitting 14th after the first two events of the season. After a challenging weekend in Montreal, Ava will be aiming to unlock the potential of the car around Silverstone’s high-speed layout as she targets a step forward in the standings.

Scottish racer Rachel Robertson continues her rookie F1 Academy campaign, with Silverstone representing the closest event on the calendar to her home. Rachel showed encouraging pace at times during the previous round in Canada and will be focused on turning that speed into a more consistent points challenge this weekend.

Joining the team’s full-season drivers is British F4 competitor Chiara Bättig, who makes her F1 Academy debut as the Wild Card entry. Chiara steps up from the British F4 Championship for the Silverstone round, offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the all-female series on home soil.

One of the fastest and most demanding circuits on the calendar, Silverstone presents a very different challenge to Montreal’s stop-start layout. Its flowing, high-speed corners reward commitment and precision, with little margin for error across the iconic 5.891km lap.

With strong preparation completed behind the scenes and home support expected throughout the weekend, Hitech will be aiming to continue its development and deliver a competitive showing at one of the most prestigious venues in world motorsport.
