Hitech promotes ROKiT-backed British F4 Champion Deagen Fairclough to GB3

The GB3 Championship is the UK’s leading single-seater category and is aimed at young drivers moving up from FIA Formula 4 championships or Karting, often as a stepping stone to the FIA Formula 3 Championship. The majority of its events are held alongside the British GT and GB4 Championships, forming one of the most prestigious and best supported packages in British motorsport.

Jacob began his motorsport journey in Malta’s vibrant racing community, following in the footsteps of his father, Duncan Micallef, who rose to become FIA Top Fuel Drag Racing Champion.

A year after securing a podium finish with third place in the FIA Karting Championship – OK European Championship, Jacob stepped up to the F4 Saudi Championship. He made an encouraging start to his single-seater career, recording two top-10 finishes during the opening round at Bahrain International Circuit.

Jacob’s first race with Hitech’s GB3 Championship squad was Round 3 at the Hungaroring from 2-5 July.

Felix returns to the British single-seater scene after a strong junior racing programme that has seen him develop rapidly across multiple championships. The Chinese driver from Zhejiang began his car racing career following a successful karting period, stepping into Formula 4 competition in 2023 with entries in the F4 UAE Winter Series and the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship.

In 2024, the 16-year-old moved into the FIA F4 British Championship, earning consistent points finishes while demonstrating clear pace and racecraft. He also competed in the F4 Chinese Championship, where he celebrated his first single-seater victories, including two wins, two fastest laps, and multiple podiums, finishing fourth overall.

Throughout 2025, Felix continued to build on his experience, returning to British F4 and taking part in the F4 Middle East Championship, gaining invaluable experience on varied circuits and conditions.

Joining Hitech for the 2026 GB3 Championship represents an exciting next step for Felix, as he looks to challenge at the sharp end of the field and continue his development with the team.

Hitech’s record-setting British F4 Champion stepped up to our GB3 squad for the 2025 season. Deagen was an unstoppable force in his second year of British F4, earning plaudits for his tally of 14 victories, succession of Podium Finishes, Fastest Laps and Pole Positions, and the speed at which his single-seater career has accelerated. He clinched the ROKiT British F4 Championship in the penultimate round with a 222.5-point lead after dominating the 2024 season. In 2022, Deagen was racing at the wheel of a Sim Racing setup at his home in Surrey, UK. He entered, and won, the 2022 edition of the ROKiT Racing Star eSports competition, for which the prize was a fully funded season in British F4 for 2023. Fairclough has not only demonstrated his own enormous potential with his burgeoning collection of silverware, he is also a torchbearer for the next generation, for whom Sim Racing can be a viable pathway into motorsport.
