Home ground awaits Hitech as Eurocup-3 heads to Silverstone

Hitech is heading home this weekend as the 2026 Eurocup-3 season arrives at Silverstone for Round 5, bringing the championship to British soil and one of the most celebrated circuits in world motorsport.
For Hitech, it is a particularly familiar destination. Based just a stone’s throw from the circuit, the team heads into its home round looking to build on the pace shown at Monza and make the most of racing on its own doorstep.
The Italian weekend provided plenty of evidence of what the team is capable of in its debut Eurocup-3 season.
Keanu Al Azhari was back fighting at the sharp end, qualifying fifth and third across the two races and setting the fastest lap in Race 1. In Race 2, he fought his way into the lead with a decisive move at the second chicane before a late Safety Car erased his advantage and changed the complexion of the closing stages.
Gino Trappa also produced a determined recovery in Race 2, climbing from 12th on the grid to finish seventh, while Santino Panetta qualified an encouraging seventh for the second race.
Now the scenery changes from Monza’s long straights and heavy braking zones to the fast, flowing challenge of Silverstone.
Few circuits reward commitment quite like Silverstone. Its high-speed sequence through Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel is among the most famous stretches of racetrack anywhere in the world, demanding precision from the drivers and a car they can trust as direction changes come in quick succession.
The sweeping nature of the circuit places a premium on aerodynamic balance and confidence through the high-speed corners, while the British weather has a habit of adding another variable just when teams think they have everything under control.
For Hitech’s four drivers, it will be a chance to take on one of motorsport’s classic challenges – this time with the team on home ground.
Keanu arrives at Silverstone having demonstrated at Monza that he has the pace to fight at the very front, while Gino will be looking to continue the form that has already delivered a podium during his first Eurocup-3 campaign.
Santino will aim to build on the qualifying pace he showed in Italy, with Stefan Bostandjiev continuing to gain experience as the championship moves into its second half.
And with Hitech’s headquarters only a short distance away, there will be no shortage of familiar faces watching on.

Silverstone is always a special one for us. It’s our home circuit, the team is based just down the road and a lot of the people who work behind the scenes throughout the season will have the opportunity to be there, so naturally we’d love to give them something to cheer about.

“There was a lot to be encouraged by at Monza. Keanu was genuinely fighting for the win in Race 2 and Gino drove very well to come through the field. We also saw good pace elsewhere across the cars, even if we didn’t always get the results from it.”
“Silverstone is a completely different circuit and a fantastic challenge for the drivers. We know it extremely well, but that doesn’t make the job any easier. We want to put together a strong weekend across all four cars and hopefully make home advantage count.”
