Hitech targets continued momentum at the Hungaroring

Hitech heads straight from Belgium to Hungary this weekend as the FIA Formula 2 Championship continues with Round 9 at the Hungaroring. Following a hard-fought double points finish at Spa-Francorchamps, the team will be aiming to carry that momentum into the final event before the summer break.
Often described as a technical challenge that rewards precision and consistency, the Hungaroring presents a very different test to Spa. The tight, twisty nature of the 4.381km circuit leaves little margin for error, with overtaking opportunities limited and qualifying performance playing a crucial role in shaping the weekend. Drivers must balance tyre management with relentless concentration as they navigate a lap made up of medium and low-speed corners.
High summer temperatures are expected to place additional emphasis on tyre degradation, making race management and strategy key factors across both the Sprint and Feature Races. Clean execution throughout the weekend will be vital, with every session offering an opportunity to gain an advantage on one of the calendar’s most demanding circuits.
The encouraging result in Belgium marked a positive step forward for Hitech, with Colton Herta and Ritomo Miyata both scoring points after battling through an action-packed Feature Race. The team will now look to build on that performance and head into the summer break with another strong haul of championship points.
