Hitech announce Red Bull Junior line-up, which sees Jüri Vips and Isack Hadjar in FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 this season.
Embarking on his second season of Formula 2 with Hitech, race winner Jüri Vips has his sights set on another strong year, fresh off the back of a campaign which saw the Estonian finish 6th in the 2021 standings. The 21-year-old Red Bull backed driver rounded off an impressive showing with the Hitech team, taking two wins and six podiums.
French Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar will start his season in Formula Regional Asia with Hitech before stepping up to FIA Formula 3 with the Silverstone-based team. The 17-year-old’s credentials are already impressive, having participated in the post-season FIA F3 test at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo Circuit with Hitech last November. Hadjar secured five podiums out of nine races in last year’s Asian F3 series, claiming the Rookies title in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine in the same year.
Vips is delighted to be rejoining F2 with Hitech, commenting,
“I’m thrilled to be joining Hitech for another year. We built a strong relationship in 2021, which enabled me to get to grips with the car and work closely with the team to ensure we gave our very best throughout the season. I’m looking forward to fighting for more victories. Massive thanks to Red Bull for their continuous support.”
Hadjar said of joining the team,
“I am really happy to race with Hitech for a full campaign in FIA F3 and Formula Regional Asia. I’m excited to see what we are able to achieve together and be working with a new team as I make my step up. There will be a lot to take in and plenty to learn, but I am ready for the challenge! Thanks to Red Bull for their support.”
Hitech are set to announce their remaining line-up for FIA Formula 2 and 3 over the coming weeks.
