Mark began his career in motorsport as a composites engineer at Comtec, the composites arm of the March Engineering group. This was followed by a stint at Reynard Racing Cars where he designed the gearbox for the 1990 F3000 car. This led to the opportunity to join Jordan Grand Prix from day one of the F1 program in January 1990, where he was one of the 3 designers responsible for the design of the first Jordan which finished 5th in the manufacturers world championship in their first season. He remained with Jordan for 11 years during which time he was appointed Chief Designer.
From Jordan he joined the Renault F1 team in 2001 as Chief Designer with subsequent appointments as Technical Director at Red Bull Racing, Force India, Caterham and Sauber.
Mark was recruited to Hitech GP to establish design and development capabilities as the foundation upon which to build Hitech GP Technologies. He is fully committed to further developing the technical capabilities of the business whilst at the same time ensuring that all projects are commercially competitive.
