Hitech GP is one of the biggest and best-known names competing in motor racing outside Formula 1. Since its welcome return to the sport in 2015, the team has already scored impressive results in the FIA F3 European Championship.
Hitech Grand Prix was formed by 2005 World Karting Champion Oliver Oakes in late 2015.
In 2014 Oliver deliberated over starting a race team to enter the European FIA F3 Series for 2015. After meetings with potential sponsors and business partners, it was clear that the best way to achieve this was to put together the backing that would enable the team to be in a strong position to contend competitively and with stability.
Finances would be put in place enabling the purchase of the entire team assets; race cars, spares, equipment, trucks, trailers and workshop. A solid platform would then be established for the medium and long-term provided by a suitable financial package to subsidise the running of the team in its start-up phase during 2015.
